We are pleased to be able to inform you that, following recent Government Guidance, we are opening the church for reflection and quiet prayer. This will begin on Saturday 20th June between the hours of 10:00am and 11:00am.

This is not in any sense a service but simply an opportunity to sit quietly in the building, taking time to pray and to reflect. The Churchwardens will be present to ensure the safety and security of all visitors.

There is an area for reflection in the chancel where chairs have been placed 2 metres apart. Chairs are also set just below the chancel for those who may struggle to get up the steps. No pews are in use. If all the chairs are occupied, we will ask you to wait in the porch until one becomes free. There will always be someone on hand to advise you.

There will be no service sheets, prayer sheets, or bibles available, but feel free to bring your own. We will have the votive candle stand accessible for you to light a candle. One candle will already be lit and you can take another from the table to light and place in the stand.

Areas of the church will be roped off to limit access to the chancel area only. A one way system will be in place  and there are signs to direct you around the building. Toilets will not be available in the Parish Centre which remains closed.

On entering and leaving you must ensure that you use the available hand sanitizer, supervised by the wardens. Feel free to wear a face covering if you wish, but this is not essential.

We have everyone’s safety and wellbeing at the heart of what we are doing. We want you to come and enjoy your quiet reflection time and feel comfortable. Please note that if you are currently shielding then you should not attend. (See Government Guidance released 11th June).

We very much look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful building.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
